Phoebe Brooks (Theater Creature)
Phoebe is also a Dance-Theater Choreographer, she specializes in enacting performance structures conversely designed to free the subconscious through intricate regulation and planning. Her most popular piece, Dance Telephone, is essentially a game of “telephone” played out by dancers in continual rotation, until the original choreography has devolved beyond recognition. The piece was mounted four times in varying locations times in response to audience member requests to participate in future iterations. Phoebe recently facilitated an improvised physical theater version of Shakespeare's Henriad called Swear, Drink, Dance, imagery from which is also included below.
